Where we've been
Judah Temple of Praise was founded with the vision to Birth, Develop, Train, Empower, and Establish new leaders and followers for Jesus Christ! This vision came to our founder - Bishop Dr. Kelvin Leavy, Sr. - in the year 2000. Originally located in Antioch, TN, We started with the immediate Leavy family of 5 in their home. The ministry saw a membership increase of over 100 dedicated members which propelled them to their first few locations in the city of Antioch. Notably, God allowed the ministry to move to the campus of Tennessee State University - where we grew tremendously - and later to a small building on Brick Church Pike.
Where we are
Knowing that T.S.U. the building on Brick Church Pike were only temporary homes, we welcomed hundreds of members and visitors through our doors and into the arms of Christ through various ministries. As God continued to enlarge our territory, in 2011 the Lord blessed us with our very own building - 1700 Shelby Ave. Nashville, TN. Since then, we've seen even more growth within the four walls and on all virtual outlets. We've been blessed to minister to thousands of souls both here in Nashville and internationally.
